Functional Breath Training Session

A Woman in a Purple Shirt is Examining Another Woman's Back — Align Health Therapies in Woonona, NSW

Learn the fundamentals of proper breathing technique, starting with harnessing the power of your diaphragm and achieving a 360-degree rib cage motion. Move through a series of dynamic poses, each challenging the respiratory system in different ways. These foundational skills are not just about breathing; they're crucial for promoting spinal mobility and stability, as well as optimal organ function.

This session is focused more on anatomy and function of the breath, rather than nervous system regulation. Some hands-on osteopathy may be applied to assist with poses. To enquire about functional breath training, get in touch today.

Conscious Connected Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathwork — Align Health Therapies in Woonona, NSW

Conscious connected breathwork (CCB), is a transformational breath practice that involves intentionally controlling and deepening the breath in a circular rhythmic pattern. This technique facilitates a state of deep relaxation and heightened awareness by focusing on the breath as a tool for shifting energy, healing and transformation.

Conscious connected breathwork is “conscious” because we are consciously controlling it, and “connected” because there is no pause between inhale and exhale. The theory behind this type of breathwork is to use the breath to activate the sympathetic nervous system while in a supported and safe environment. Allowing you, the breather, to complete unfinished nervous system responses that are stored in your fascia, muscles and cells of your being. The deep breaths slightly alter the pH levels of your blood, which stimulates different parts of the brain. Moving you out of the thinking brain into the feeling brain- in this subconscious state you are able to shift and process stored emotions and memories, moving them through your body with the breath and releasing them. Leaving you feeling more clear minded, and deeply relaxed, it is an incredible process where you will be reconnected with your body and truest authentic self.
